endings {sleeping beauty}

And with that, Maine State Ballet's Sleeping Beauty is over. It was an adventure to say the least, one that I really think will stick with me forever. I learned more about myself as a dancer, and what exactly my body is capable of. It gave me a wonderful excuse reason to connect with friends,  both new and old. It helped me earn a sense of self-confidence that I didn't have when this journey began. Even Aurora herself came with her own curriculum of learnings. She taught me how to be gentle, sweet, and innocent (both onstage and off). She taught me how to be gracious, energetic, and good. I am so honored to have been able to take on the challenge.

I'm sad to say goodbye to life as Aurora, but as our director said to me,

"Now it's just onto the next thing and it will be even more spectacular."

For now, it's back to wedding planning, graduating, a short April vacation, and beginning a new chapter of life with a new job.
