Motivation

Hello, lovelies! Just got back from an autumn jog.
I went through a patch of bushes and got these prickly things stuck to my pants... -_-

Anyway, I'm trying to keep up the stamina to get in tip-top Nutcracker shape! I've been doing daily ab workouts and I run on Wednesdays and Sundays, it's working pretty well so far. :)

The difficult part of toning my body for the shows, for me, is definitely cutting back on my calorie/general food intake. I do love food and when the whole family is having one meal it's difficult to ration and modify the meal to fit your needs.
Whether it's exercising or calorie-cut-back, you just need a little motivation. It can be a picture of what you'd like your body to look like or a song that makes you want to move and exercise. Here's my motivational photo:
I'm not there yet but by November I will be! X)
I also have a specific play list that keeps me going while I jog. Here are some of the songs on it:
Call It What You Want by Foster the People
Animal by the Neon Trees
Oh Darling by Plug In Stereo
Easy by Faith No More
The Way I Loved You by Taylor Swift
The Start of Something by Voxtrot
Don't Your Remember by Adele
(For the full play list then request it in a comment)

Do you guys have any special techniques or tips for staying motivated? Maybe a song, video or picture? Let us know in a comment below!

  2. I used to run a lot but then I pulled a muscle during one of my dance lessons. This limited what I could do for quite a while as it was very servere but I never thought about taking up running again. This has inspired me too! :)

  3. honey, you re thin enough. you just need to eat a lot, but eat healthy and don t feel guilty over a small ammount of the not so healthy.
I m a dancer myself and almost got anorexic not because I wanted to loose weight but because I got so obsessed with eating better that I started to eat less. don t do that to your body, think about your bones and joints. :/

  4. Hi There, Ballerina Blogger. I have been following your blog for a while but - sorry - haven't commented yet. Well, here's a first, hey.

Look, I really need your help. The above post was great though. I am trying to take off a couple of kilos and at the same time have a body like the one in the picture above.

So .... after reading your post I have decided to do some jogging too. But to fit into my time schedule, it will be on a Thursday and Sunday instead of a Wednesday and Sunday.

    so that part's all cool.

Now for the abb work outs. Can you perhaps do a post on what exercises you are doing for them and point out what muscles they are working. That would be just SOOOO helpful !! X)

If you could do that, it would be great, but if you don't have the time I would totally understand.

I am just trying to get a stomach that looks just like that one in the picture. How long do you reckon it would take if I did 1/2 hour of jogging and 1 hour of walking twice a week, plus say 1/2 hour abb exercises a day?

Thanks sooo much for your time. Highly appreciated.

  5. Hey Ballerina blogger,

Great post. Good luck with all the jogging and exercises and all that. I know it can be tough, but the end result is totally worth it, hey?
