The Artist

Good morning! I apologize for not writing for quite some time now! I have been leaving first thing in the morning and arriving very late the last few days. On Friday I had 2 performances. One for the end of summer camp performance (Here's the link if you'd like to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOlBBkrQV8Y) and then at 7:00 my ballet school was performing Serenade which I am so fortunate to be able to perform! The rush after being on stage for that ballet is so extraordinary! It wasn't that I felt nervous, it was the feeling that you had just done a thousand crunches and the wind was knocked out of you. I don't even know why... It's just so beautiful and I am so incredibly lucky! It looks so easy and flowing but it is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done. But I would do it again and again and it's so sad to only be doing four shows when I wish we could do more! With a show like Serenade, there are so many different people that can relate or enjoy the beauty of it. I only wish I knew what Balanchine was thinking when he choreographed that beautiful piece of artwork.
Last night I didn't get home until after 11:00 because I went out to dinner after Serenade with some friends. The previous night we were home by about 10:00. I am so tired! We still have one more week of summer camp and one more weekend of Serenade. Let's hope I can just manage to pull a last bit of energy out of me!
